Olivia Fischer is in Education and Outreach Team at YCC. She felt compelled to begin her involvement in climate activism after experiencing a crisis in her hometown in Bolivia, when a dam broke that held a major water source for her community. She worked to collaborate with and educate members of her community to pressure politicians into addressing the issue and prevention measures. Olivia is currently working towards becoming an engineer so that she can utilize technology to make a change in our reliance on resources and waste generation. At University she volunteered to promote green practices, and this past year she participated in the Paragon One Community FreshWater Externship.
