We're a lively global initiative with a heart full of passion for empowering and rallying the youth to tackle the urgent climate crisis. Our online platform is your one-stop shop, providing young minds with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to take on climate challenges head-on. We're particularly focused on regions in the global south, where the climate situation is heating up. Through cutting-edge education, mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and team projects, YCC is nurturing a lively community of young climate activists. Our goal? A sustainable and resilient future for everyone.
Our Story
Amid a rapidly changing world, where Climate & environmental challenges loom large and
the voices of youth cry out for change, the journey of YouthClimate Connect (YCC) began. It
was a journey fueled by passion, determination, and a shared commitment to make a
difference.
The story of YCC traces back to the early experiences of our co-founders, each driven by
their own unique connection to the environment. Abdelslam Taha, inspired by his
childhood in western Sudan, where he grew up in harmony with nature, embarked on a
mission to protect the environment and empower young minds.
Our Vision
Our vision is to lead a world where youth, especially in vulnerable regions, are at the forefront of climate action, creating a sustainable future. We envision an empowered community of informed and diverse young leaders, including refugees, displaced individuals, and women, who collaborate globally to drive transformative climate solutions and foster sustainability.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide accessible, innovative, and inclusive tools for youth, including refugees, displaced individuals, and women, to become climate champions. We aim to educate, connect, and inspire young leaders through a dynamic online platform and educational and training programs. By doing so, we empower them to initiate real-world climate projects, contributing to a sustainable and resilient future.
